Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on henryscarcomps.co.uk, operated by HJT Motors Limited (company number 16666129), trading as Henry’s Car Comps. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. The short version

We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, an advertising pixel, or any similar tool, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.

Simply browsing this site sets no cookies at all. Cookies are only set if you log in to an account, and they exist purely to keep you logged in. That is why you will not see a cookie consent banner: under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for do not require consent.

2. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Related technologies such as session storage work similarly but are cleared when you close the browser tab. Both are covered by this policy.

3. Cookies we set

These are the only cookies set by Henry’s Car Comps itself. Both are strictly necessary, and both are marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Strict, meaning they cannot be read by scripts in your browser, are only ever sent over an encrypted connection, and are not sent when arriving from another website.

Neither cookie contains your name, email address, or any personal detail. Each holds only a random identifier that lets our server recognise your session.

4. Session storage we use

We store one item in your browser’s session storage, which is not a cookie and is never sent to our servers:

5. Third parties

Two third-party services run in your browser when you use certain pages. Neither is used for advertising or analytics.

Cloudflare hosts and protects this site, and provides the “Turnstile” anti-bot check shown on the checkout and sign-up forms. Cloudflare may set cookies or use similar technologies to distinguish genuine visitors from automated abuse and to keep the site secure and available. These are security functions, not tracking. Nochex provides the card payment form on the basket page. When you pay, Nochex’s own software runs in your browser to take your card details securely, and may set cookies necessary to process the payment and prevent fraud. We never see or store your full card details. See Nochex’s privacy policy.

6. How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser allows this, usually under Settings → Privacy. Because the only cookies we set are the ones that keep you logged in, blocking them will not stop you browsing competitions or entering by post, but you will not be able to sign in to an account or complete an online checkout.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce analytics or advertising technology — for example an advertising pixel to measure a marketing campaign — that would not be strictly necessary, and we would ask for your consent before setting it and update this policy first.
